Distribution and ecological preference at Wilsons Promontory (if known):
Common, especially on sandy soils. Particularly common north of Darby River, for example along Cotters Lake track. Grows in damp coastal sands and wet or inundated habitats

This species has leaves that are reduced to tubular sheaths at the stem base, flowers are in globular clusters that are up to 20 mm in diameter
